& photography style

 While we will do a few smiling/looking at the camera photos, we will also do many relaxed, candid style photos. My primary focus is always on capturing real, raw, genuine emotion (love and joy) through photos. I always do very natural style posing. My goal is to make it look like you were just standing there doing that, and someone came along with a professional camera and captured it. This style of photography is best known as "lifestyle". I aim for a very natural and timeless look in my photos. This goes for my newborn sessions as well. They will have a lifestyle feel, will typically be conducted indoors in your home, capturing the beauty of you and your family very naturally. I will always be using natural light to capture the beauty of you and your surroundings. 

I always strive to achieve crystal clear images, and the perfect sunny glow in all my photos. There is something about a photo with the sunlight captured just right, that sets it apart from all the rest. I also love the natural beauty of the ocean and beach, and that is my most favorite setting to capture gorgeous images. I personally do not like a grainy or hazy photo, and strive to achieve crystal clear images with vibrant, but true to life colors. In my opinion, this gives the “bright and clean” look which I love so much.

Hello and welcome! I’m so glad you’re here! I’m Stephanie Jay, and I am your premium South Shore Massachusetts family, lifestyle, and branding photographer. I pride myself in delivering exceptional quality photos to most naturally capture yourself, your family, and your business. I specialize in family, maternity, newborn, engagement, and branding sessions. I offer various packages including full (one hour) sessions with 60+ images, and various mini sessions options, with 20-25+ images. My photos are expertly crafted to deliver you crystal clear, light filled, vibrant, natural images. 

I am a South Shore, MA resident, mom of three young boys, and an experienced pediatric registered nurse. This is especially helpful when it comes to newborn, maternity, and family sessions with babies, toddlers, and young children. My natural ability to work with babies and children becomes evident in the quality of photos captured during these sessions, with a comfort and ease for the entire family. 

I have taken a multitude of photography and editing courses but most notably, was lucky enough to be one-on-one trained and mentored by a renowned New England photographer, known for her work in photographing the New England Patriots, high profile celebrities, prominent businesses, and for conducting her professional work all across the country. Beyond my high level of training, I also offer my clients a complimentary styling guide to help assist with outfit selection. Lastly, in addition to the high resolution, digital images delivered to you in a beautiful online gallery for downloading, printing and sharing, I also have an online store for ordering professional prints, heirloom photo albums, and beautiful photo keepsake items. 

A couple of things about me, I absolutely love kids, and I can promise your session will be fun and relaxed. Additionally, I am extremely detail-oriented. I am very particular about what my photos look like. I pay extreme attention to detail in both taking the perfect photos of you and your family, and also in making the most perfect edits to produce excellent images.
