As your trusted South Shore MA newborn photographer, I often get asked about the differences between my Signature Newborn Sessions and my Mini Newborn Sessions. While both offer beautiful images of your precious new baby, there are so many benefits to booking a Signature Newborn Session with Stephanie Jay Photography – South Shore Ma Newborn Photographer.
First and foremost, a Signature Newborn Session with Stephanie Jay – your South Shore MA newborn photographer includes significantly more photos in your final gallery. Instead of 35+ high resolution digital images, you’ll receive an extensive gallery, with a minimum of 85 high resolution digital images. The significantly higher amount of images allow us to capture many more details, special moments, and backgrounds within your home.
One incredible benefit of booking a Signature Newborn Session with Stephanie Jay – South Shore MA Newborn photographer, is the variety of backgrounds we will capture within and around your home. During your session, I’ll photograph your family in multiple areas of your home, from your cozy nursery to your bright living room, the master bedroom, and even outside in your yard. We have enough time in these sessions to not only take our time, but also to get this extensive variety of backgrounds, which clients really love.
As mentioned above, another major advantage of my Signature Newborn Sessions is the significantly greater amount of allotted time. While my Newborn Mini Sessions are approximately 30 minutes long, my Signature Newborn Sessions are up to 90 minutes (or 3x as long)! Why would you need this much time during your session? Newborns are often feedings, fussy, gassy, need to be changed, or can be crying. While this is all very normal and indicative of a healthy newborn, we try to only capture the quieter, softer, sweeter moments. In order to do this, we have to give your newborn lots of breaks, and be very patient with them throughout the process. Having more time for your session allows us to go at a very natural pace that is comfortable for everyone, and therefore very effective in getting great shots. As your South Shore MA Newborn photographer, it is very important to me that we capture your family as authentically, and beautifully as possible. This flexibility in allotted time, ensures a calm, comfortable experience for everyone, and it really becomes evident in your gallery photos.
One of my most favorite parts of my Signature Newborn Sessions that we do not have time for in my Newborn Mini Sessions, is the opportunity to take photos outside your home. Whether it’s in your flower garden, on your front porch, or even at a nearby beach, these outdoor photos add a beautiful, vibrant, light-filled touch to your gallery. As your South Shore MA newborn photographer, I love capturing these peaceful, light-filled moments that make your session truly stunning.
Also in my Signature Newborn Sessions, we have enough time to capture an extensive amount of photos of your newborn alone. This is great for having a variety of detailed portrait shots of your newborn. We do not have time to do this in my Newborn Mini Sessions.
In contrast, my Newborn Mini Sessions are much shorter and typically limited to a few select locations within your home. While my Newborn Mini Sessions are great if you just want a smaller selection of shots and a shorter window of shooting time, it doesn’t offer the relaxed, comprehensive experience that comes with my Signature Newborn Sessions.
