I’m a Norwell MA newborn photographer—and also a mom of three toddler boys. I know firsthand what it feels like to be in that fresh postpartum phase: physically exhausted, on an emotional high from just getting to welcome your baby to the world, your body healing and recovering, looking in the mirror and feeling anything but ready for the camera. Believe me when I tell you, I completely understand. Having been through this many times myself, and now watching tons of moms go through this, I’m here to shed some perspective and light on how stunningly beautiful you really are, why you deserve to be celebrated in this moment, and that your beautiful new baby looking up at you, will not only thank you one day for getting in those photos of the two of you together, but those photos will mean absolutely everything to them… and yes I did tear up writing this blog post (haha the mamas understand).

One of the things I’ve learned as both a mom and a Norwell MA newborn photographer is that women often struggle to see the beauty that others see in them so undeniably. You might look in the mirror and only see the tired eyes or the body that feels completely foreign to you. But when I look through my lens, I see strength, a loving bond that is unbelievably strong, and a stunningly beautiful mom who more than deserves to be captured.

The only one in the whole world who is capable of taking care of that baby so well, is you. That is powerful. That is beautiful.

That stunning woman holding them with love, warmth, and devotion, looking back at them with that exact same unconditional love.
